WHY A PILATES TRAINING DEDICATED TO PREGNANT WOMAN AND SENIOR ?

Firstly because Pilates is a discipline which aims to gently strengthen the deep muscles and correct bad postures; in this sense, it is ideal for pregnant women subject to postural problems, but also for seniors who experience musculoskeletal disorders. Unlike other disciplines, Pilates is a real reconciliation with the body, without the risk of accidents or injuries. It is mainly in this Pilates training for pregnant women and seniors to learn the right gestures and to offer a sequence that is both rigorous and fun. HOW DOES OUR PREGNANT WOMAN AND SENIOR PILATES TRAINING RUN?

Initially, the participants will discover the Pilates techniques adapted to pregnant women, that is to say taking into account the state of progress of their pregnancy and all that ensues (alleviate localized pain, prepare during childbirth, strengthen the perineum ..). Still based on the techniques of Module 1 of Pilates training, you will also adapt the whole process to the physical particularities that affect seniors. In a second step, the training will focus on scenarios and the creation of a choreography. These two days will bring you all the methodological baggage necessary to teach a Pilates that promotes mobility, increases the sense of balance and well-being in people facing very specific bodily problems, whether temporary or permanent.

What in your professional career has led you to Pilates ?

I discovered him as an instructor. Pilates was not unknown to me, but it is the continuity and fluidity aspect that completely seduced me. I now work from this perspective of connections and transitions.

How do you react when you hear that Pilates is especially for women ?

This is obviously wrong! It’s a global discipline regardless of gender. The best counterexample that we can bring to all those who convey this sexist idea is Cristiano Ronaldo. This athlete practices Pilates and is able to do everything thanks to his detailed knowledge of his body.
